Disclaimer
Results on Ehsiblak are estimates based on the published laws and on what you enter. The amount you are actually owed may differ.
Not legal advice
The calculators and explanations on this site are general information. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice, and they do not replace the opinion of a lawyer or accountant who knows your case.
What can change the amount
- Your contract and company policy may give you more than the legal minimum.
- Courts and decisions may read a provision differently from us, and new ministerial decisions may be issued.
- The details of your service: unpaid leave, absences, wage changes and the reason the contract ended.
- Deductions: debts or advances owed to your employer, and social insurance contributions in some countries.
- Special regimes: some groups of workers and some zones follow rules the calculators do not cover.
Laws change
We review the rules and show the date of the last review on every page, but a new law or decision may come out after that date. Always check the sources listed on the page and our methodology.
Zakat is not a fatwa
The zakat calculator follows what official zakat bodies in the Gulf apply and notes where scholars differ. It is not a religious ruling. If your case is complex, such as a business, large debts or jointly owned wealth, ask a qualified scholar or the official zakat body in your country.
Who to check with
- End-of-service gratuity: the labour or human resources ministry in your country and the labour courts; in Bahrain, the Social Insurance Organization; in Oman, the Social Protection Fund for the savings scheme.
- VAT: the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia, the Federal Tax Authority in the UAE, the National Bureau for Revenue in Bahrain and the Tax Authority in Oman.
